I took my perfectly healthy male rabbit, Cowboy, who I rescued from the wild, to get neutered at this clinic on December 21, 2007. About two hours after I dropped him off I received a phone call from Dr. Mosley, who performed the surgery, stating that Cowboy had died.
Upon returning to the clinic to pick up his cage/food/remains, Dr. Mosley said that the surgery went well, but about 15 minutes into recovery he didn't wake up. He said he would like to discontinue neutering/spaying rabbits but "does it as a community service because he's one of only two vets in the area who offer the service", which is entirely untrue. I told him I could email him a list of other vets, but he seemed doubtful and didn't even give me his email address. He insisted that Cowboy was a wild rabbit and was therefore more stressed by the procedure -- Cowboy was domesticated and, by far, the most affectionate, tame, friendly rabbit I've ever met.
I had to pay the full amount ($200) for this unsuccessful surgery. I do not recommend this doctor for spaying/neutering rabbits, as it is extremely specialized and he obviously takes no interest in doing them. He could also improve his bedside manners, as this experience was devastating enough without his insensitivity and negligence.

Dr. Debbie and Keith Mosely are absolutely the greatest vets I have ever had..... I have a cat and a dog and they are always given the best care when at RS animal Hospital. I don't know of another Vet that will sit and discuss your animals with you without you ever feeling that they are tryiong to rush you out. They are so knowledgable and compasionate about there clients. The best vets by far in the area, we are lucky to have them.
