My happy little dog died yesterday, two hours after having x-rays at McAfee Animal Hospital in Valparaiso to check arthritis in her back legs. She was also given a pain medication that I subsequently researched, finding that it specifically states not to administer to anyone with a history of seizures. McAfee was well aware that my dog had a history of seizures. When I called this morning to try to get answers, I was chastised by Dr. McAfee and told that I need to learn how to talk to people, and he hung up on me. No condolences whatsoever were expressed, and no explanation was even attempted. PLEASE think twice before taking your beloved animal to this "hospital." If I hadn't taken my pet there, she would still be with me today.
