Sebastian The Cat: I took my daughters cat Sebastian to Dr. Hughes to be neutered and handed them a check for $71.50. The next day, he called my daughter and told her that Sebastian had a reaction to the anesthetic and he was dead. When we arrived to collect the body, my daughter was told she had a $10.50 credit to her account. She was asked if she wanted cash or credit. She chose cash. After giving Sebastian a proper burial in our backyard, I returned to Dr. Hughes office and requested a copy of my dog Barney Beagle's shot records. I informed the receptionist that, in my opinion, Dr. Hughes charging my daughter $61.00 was obscene. I will never take another animal to Reed Hughes.
