Dr. Meredith Rives graduated with her DVM from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to that she completed her Pre-Med studies at Northwestern University. Dr. Rives pursued certification in veterinary acupuncture with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) shortly after graduating veterinary school and has been practicing integrative care for the length of her career. Her specific interests include preventative medicine and nutrition, with a special focus on holistic wellness. Good communication and client education are hallmarks of her practice style. Dr. Rives has served on the Board of Directors for the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association for 5 years and was the Chair of the Animal Welfare Board in Evanston, Illinois, where she currently resides, for 6 years. She is actively involved in the animal sheltering and welfare community, and often has foster pets running through her very busy home with her two sets of teenage twins.
